Ways to Wear Your New Pashmina
The most important thing to remember about your new pashmina is there is no right or wrong way to wear it. Practise makes perfect but you will find that your beautiful pashmina is so versatile you will soon be able to adapt your style to any wardrobe or weather situation.
The classic way to wear it is simply wrapped around you with one end slung back over your shoulder.
Tip: If you begin with the pashmina off centre before you start wrapping, you will have a longer end to throw over your shoulder. This means the pashmina will stay in place no matter what you are doing.
The popular slip knot style of pashmina is easy to do once you know how. Fold the pashmina in half, then half again, ending with a long, narrow belt shaped scarf.
Tip: (Folding your pashmina, rather than scrunching it, gives a better look and a less bulky feel around your neck). Next, fold the pashmina in half, lengthwise. You will have a long loop. Wrap the whole loop around your neck and thread the ends through the loop at the front.
If you are using your pashmina as a stole with a strappy evening dress, we recommend folding it lengthways to a manageable width... (For a pashmina shawl we suggest folding into thirds, for a pashmina stole fold it into half its width). You can then wear your pashmina wrapped in the traditional way but we suggest that off the shoulder will give you a sexier look.
You can also wear your pashmina front to back with the ends hanging behind you or tied together behind. (Great when drinks or dancing are keeping you busy as it keeps your hands free and you won't have to worry about your pashmina slipping at an unfortunate time!)
The Cravat. To create this look, fold your pashmina lengthways and wrap it around your neck.
On one side tie a simple loose knot....
....then neatly thread the other end of the pashmina through the knot.
The Bridesmaid method of tying a pashmina begins using the classic style but then ends are taken under the arms and tied in a knot behind.
